Mixed Media

How can pastel and paint merge with wood, tape, photographs, and wire? How can depth and motion be created with transparent paper and Plexiglas?
There are endless ways to combine collage techniques with the raw energy of drawing and the fluidity of paint. Work from thin to thick, from the surface to the final layer. Students keep a sketchbook/journal to maintain a steady flow of ideas. This class is about making active and expressive images.
