This class focuses on drawing the human figure in different poses and settings. Various outfits, objects, and lighting are utilized as elements of the drawings. Discover the essence of the figure and how it relates to the space it occupies. Instructor will guide students in developing a creative process using charcoal and pastel. “Recycled Beach” is the theme of this project using shells, sand, glass, frames and epoxy
to create a decorative glass peice. Students are encouraged to bring any shells, sand, or
special beach materials they would like to incoporate. Any artwork created needs to dry
overnight and can be picked up Saturday morning after 9am.

Discover the ancient art of paper folding. In our origami/Kirigami class, students learn basic folding techniques used to create an endless variety of origami models. Students will decorate their own special papers and use their folding skills to create projects and designs. The purpose of this class is to introduce the “new-to-watercolor” student to a wide variety of interesting ways in which to manipulate and use watercolors. In this class students are offered the opportunity to view watercolor paintings (prints) by several artists and begin to analyze their techniques.
